All organelles on the key are in each cell. Unless you can prove to me that the organelle isn't in the cell by citing textual evidence. Then all listed organelles should be there....
For example all cells have a nucleus unless you're doing bacteria which is a prokaryote. OR Muscle cells are in animals, which do not have cell wall because animal cells do not have cell walls. Basically, use the specialized organelles AND the "generic" ones that nearly all eukaryotes have.

Students have been introduced to an organelle key that is in their Drive. In class, students worked on adding extra information about each organelle's structure and function. Of course they are NOT plagiarizing, but putting ideas into their own words. They need to continue to work on it at home. I also introduced EasyBib as a method of making a Bibliography. Please remind students to cite any source they use to add information to their key.
Please note that if an organelle's on the key it must be in their model unless students can find evidence that their cell specifically does not have an organelle. (Many images of cells only show unique organelles with the assumption that we know the other organelles are present, but not visually important.) Completing the cell project will help students review the structures and functions of the cell before the test. All periods should have 5 finished by 12/9 or 12/10 and 5 more are due the next time I see them. http://sbrookslong.weebly.com/cell-research.html My website has many useful websites that will help with research. -- Monday: Finish comparison of Elodea and Cheek Cell Lab; Organelle notes; Plant Observations
