Students have been introduced to an organelle key that is in their Drive. In class, students worked on adding extra information about each organelle's structure and function. Of course they are NOT plagiarizing, but putting ideas into their own words. They need to continue to work on it at home. I also introduced EasyBib as a method of making a Bibliography. Please remind students to cite any source they use to add information to their key.
Please note that if an organelle's on the key it must be in their model unless students can find evidence that their cell specifically does not have an organelle. (Many images of cells only show unique organelles with the assumption that we know the other organelles are present, but not visually important.) Completing the cell project will help students review the structures and functions of the cell before the test.
